Cookie policy
Cookie policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026. This policy explains which cookies this website uses and how you choose which ones you allow. How we handle personal data in general is described in our privacy statement.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers them too.
Your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks which cookies you allow. Necessary cookies are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you switch them on, and they also stay off if you do not choose. You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we remove the analytics or marketing cookies this website has set and reload the page. We remember your choice for one year and then ask again. We also ask again when we add a new category of cookies.
Cookies we use
Necessary
These cookies make the website work and remember your cookie choice. They do not need consent.
- cookie_consent: stores which cookies you allow. Set by this website. Expires after one year.
- payload-token: keeps editors logged in to the content management system. Only set for editors who log in. Expires after two hours.
- __prerender_bypass: lets logged-in editors preview pages that are not published yet. Only set for editors. Expires when the browser is closed.
Analytics: only with your consent
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to see how visitors use the website: which pages they visit, how they found us and where they leave. We use this to improve the website.
- _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after two years.
- _ga_… (followed by our measurement ID): keeps track of your visit. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after two years.
Marketing: only with your consent
Marketing cookies measure whether our campaigns work and make ads on other websites more relevant to you. [marketing tags in Google Tag Manager and the cookies they set, or a statement that there are none]
Google Tag Manager and Consent Mode
We load Google Tag Manager on every page. It sets no cookies itself, but it does connect your browser to Google's servers. It loads the analytics and marketing tags, and only in line with your choice. We use Google Consent Mode. Until you give consent, Google tags do not read or set cookies. They may still send Google limited signals without cookies, for example that a page was viewed.
Cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, we cannot remember your choice and will ask again on every visit.
